I just released MCEBrowser version 2.2. It is now posted on download.com, you can download it here.

Version 2.2 includes the following changes:

1. Added support for Windows Vista Media Center
2. Fixed various installer issues, including removing the dependency on the .NET Framework.
3. Added the Japanese language translation
