New Release: MyNetflix v2.2.1 - Instant Queue Feature

Filed under: Uncategorized — Anthony Park @ 10:51 am

Yesterday, Netflix added an additional queue to your account - the Instant Queue.

This feature ties in well with what many people have been requesting for MyNetflix. So, this morning I added the code necessary in MyNetflix to use this new Instant Queue. Now in MyNetflix, you can perform the normal queue operations on your instant queue (add, remove, move to top). However, the way that I anticipate people will use this feature is to add movies to your instant queue on your PC/laptop, and then select movies for viewing from your instant queue on your Media Center PC.

The new release has been posted to my Software page

  1. Two things I would still like to see.
    1. Browsing queue, etc without DVD cover thumbnails.
    2. The ability to easily switch profiles.

  2. I’ve been using this program for a couple of months now, and I wanted to say how much I love it and how useful it has been to me. I dropped by here yesterday to see if there was any mention of the new Instant Queue, and was presently surprised to find that the software had ALREADY been updated to include it, and it works beautifully…can’t ask for much more than that :)

Thanks for a great product, and keep up the good work!

  5. Well, all this is missing is extender support for watchit now movies. I have tried both this and VMCNetflix (http://myweb.cableone.net/eluttmann04/projects/vmcNetFlix/default.htm) and while it only works about 5% of the time, it allows streaming…so I know it can be done. But yours is SO much better UI wise, and much more responsive on the 360. Just get watchitnow on the extender and you got a gold mine.
